Assembling Web Pages

5) Create Static Background Graphics, Logos, and Icons

The template web pages expect three sets of static raster ("bit-map") graphic files to be provided. These are:

5.1) Page Background ("pagebackground.png")

This is a background image for the entire web page. If you expand the web browser the image will be visible around the edges of the page. Normally you would create this file and use an image which is related to your company, the product being produces, or some other such relevant factor. The name used for this file is set in "hmipagelayout.css". If you want to change the name (or eliminate the image altogether) you will need to change it there.

5.2) Page Logo ("pagelogo.png")

This is an file used as a logo on the template web pages. Normally you would create this file and use an image which is related to your company, the product being produces, or some other such relevant factor. The name used for this file is set in the web page. If you want to change the name (or eliminate it altogether) you will need to change it there. The web page defines the actual size displayed, so the file will be re-sized to suit.

5.3) Icon ("pageicon.png")

This is a file used as an "icon" which appears in the web browser "bookmarks" and in the tabs. This must be exactly 32 x 32 pixels in size.

Notes

These should all be "PNG" (the icon *must* be PNG) files. Excessively large files should be avoided as it will slow down loading of the web page (note that the icon file must be exactly the size specified above).
